- Dungeons 2.0a
- 1/1/88
-
- Important!
- ==========
-
- You cannot fully utilize this version of Dungeons without the Documentation
- for version 2.0 or the new menus. If you haven't already downloaded them,
- I suggest you do so.
-
- To set up Dungeons in a hurry....
-
- Unpack Dungeons and the new support files into your Dungeons folder.
- (You cannot use your old DungData file, the new format is different!)
- Dungeons will create a new DungData file for you, as well as a few other
- files. The files you MUST have in the folder with Dungeons are...
-
- Dungeons (the application itself)
- DungeonsMenu
- ... plus any other menus DungeonsMenu branches to
- Levels
- TheGoods
- TheCritters
-
- You should also have the files HiScores and Bulletin. Note that these
- are text files and can be edited to suit your own taste.
-
- Dungeons will create some other files that it needs in the Dungeons Folder.
- These are DungData, DungEvents, Names, and Deletions.
-
- You must use ResEdit to change the following STR resources in Dungeons
-
- 1500 - Path to Host. Should end in a colon.
- 1501 - Name of your host application.
- 1502 - Path to your RRH Userlog. Should end in a colon.
- 1503 - Path to Dungeons. Should end in a colon.
-
- As long as all the correct files are in the folder with Dungeons, and your
- STR resources are correct, Dungeons will work A-OK with your system.
-
- Please note that this version of Dungeons is Shareware. If after one week
- of running it you wish to keep running it, please send $20 to:
-
- Eric Johnson
- 6356 Laurentian Ct.
- Flint, MI 48532
-
- In return I'll support the program and continue putting out new versions.
-
- If you do not wish to make a contribution, feel free to run any version
- of Dungeons prior to 2.0. Version 1.59 will probably be the last one,
- so it's ok to run that one for free. Please don't let me catch you running
- version 2.0 for an extended period of time without having made a
- contribution.
-
- New features are explained in the Docs. The main new features are teams
- and events. There are many other additions, but most are invisible to
- the user and are primarily in the area of improving code and preventing
- crashes.
-
-
- Enjoy!
